Ryan Seacrest throws shade at live show producers on air as he blasts their ‘lack of positive reinforcement’

RYAN Seacrest has called the producers of his talk show because they didn’t give him and co-host Kelly Ripa enough support.

The live presenter shared his amazing opinion live on air with his staff.

Kelly was absent from the Monday show.

In her place was Ryan’s sidekick and American Idol Jew, Lionel Richie.

While the two engaged in the normal chitchat that opens each show, Ryan shared a story about the group lyrics that he and the judges all shared, and singled out Lionel for his positive attitude and messages.

“He sends these amazing texts after every episode!” Ryan exclaimed before providing an example. “Wow. Tonight’s show – it really got me. So emotional. We were great.”

Then Ryan compared the compassion to the live staff.

“We like that positive reinforcement,” he continued. “You don’t hear that here.”

He then flashed a knowing grin and looked at live producer Michael Gelman.

“What do you say to Kelly and I after we have a show?” Ryan asked his boss.

Gelman replied, “Oh, you mean the old adage that it’s never as good as you think, or as bad as you think?”

As the studio audience laughed at the bland words of encouragement, Ryan asked his co-host if he ever thought of saying something like that.

“No,” the Hello singer shot back. “No, that won’t be my thing.”

SO SORRY

Apparently, Lionel’s “Ding” needs to apologize for his co-hosts’ behavior — especially after the pair took a segment to celebrate the coming of spring.

The Spring has Spring Week segment featured Amy Brightfield, director of health and functions at Better Homes & Gardens, who walked Ryan and Lionel through some gardening tips.

Ryan said he’s looking forward to being “groundmates” with Lionel, but that attitude quickly changed when they really got their hands dirty and did a bit of on-air gardening.

Amy showed the boys how to water a plant after putting it in the ground for the first time to make sure it has a smooth growing process.

She told them to “soak it well around the roots”.

The plant lover noted that when you first plant something, “you should water it every day to make sure the roots take hold.”

BREAK THE RULES

She went on to explain that as the plant grows you can start watering it “every other day,” but when she shared this tip with Ryan and Lionel, she noticed something disturbing.

“Don’t water the leaves,” she said quickly to Ryan.

“You want to water the root.”

Ryan joked, saying, “Lionel told me to water the leaves.”

He added, “He said at rehearsal last night that we should water the leaves.”

Amy repeated her warning with Lionel, saying in unison, “Don’t water the leaves.”

Lionel then laughed and apologized to Amy, “I can’t take him anywhere, I’m so sorry.”
