FANS and players celebrate after Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney guided Wrexham back to the Football League.
The pair, who paid £2million for the club in 2020, celebrated with fans after winning 3-1 on Saturday.
Reynolds even claimed goalie Ben Foster’s jersey and didn’t care when he was told: “It stinks by the way, it absolutely stinks.”
Ryan, who bought the club with McElhenney for £2million in 2020, said yesterday’s win left him “somewhere between giggles and sobs” as he shared pictures online.
McElhenney said becoming a co-owner of Wrexham was “the honor of a lifetime”.
Fan Cali Howet, 11, said: “I can’t believe we won the league – but we all knew it was going to happen. It’s amazing – I love Ryan and Rob, they’ve done so much for the city.”
Even the Prince of Wales attended the celebrations, tweeting: “Congratulations Wrexham AFC.
“A club with such an amazing history looking forward to a very exciting future in the Football League. Proud of Wales.”
