Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney celebrate Wrexham’s return to the Football League with fans

FANS and players celebrate after Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney guided Wrexham back to the Football League.
The pair, who paid £2million for the club in 2020, celebrated with fans after winning 3-1 on Saturday.

Reynolds even claimed goalie Ben Foster’s jersey and didn’t care when he was told: “It stinks by the way, it absolutely stinks.”
Ryan, who bought the club with McElhenney for £2million in 2020, said yesterday’s win left him “somewhere between giggles and sobs” as he shared pictures online.
McElhenney said becoming a co-owner of Wrexham was “the honor of a lifetime”.
Fan Cali Howet, 11, said: “I can’t believe we won the league – but we all knew it was going to happen. It’s amazing – I love Ryan and Rob, they’ve done so much for the city.”
Even the Prince of Wales attended the celebrations, tweeting: “Congratulations Wrexham AFC.
“A club with such an amazing history looking forward to a very exciting future in the Football League. Proud of Wales.”
