Ryan, who bought the club with McElhenney for £2million in 2020, said yesterday’s win left him “somewhere between giggles and sobs” as he shared pictures online.

McElhenney said becoming a co-owner of Wrexham was “the honor of a lifetime”.

Fan Cali Howet, 11, said: “I can’t believe we won the league – but we all knew it was going to happen. It’s amazing – I love Ryan and Rob, they’ve done so much for the city.”

Even the Prince of Wales attended the celebrations, tweeting: “Congratulations Wrexham AFC.

“A club with such an amazing history looking forward to a very exciting future in the Football League. Proud of Wales.”
