Russian defense minister should shoot himself, rages Putin’s ally as Ukrainian blitz crushes humiliated invaders

Putin’s enraged puppets have urged Russia’s defense minister to kill himself after Ukraine’s return blitz annihilated humiliated troops.

General Sergei Shoigu has come under fire after suffering a series of defeats on the battlefield and displaying a sluggish strategy.

Russian soldiers have thrown away their weapons and fled in the face of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, giving up parts of territory they had previously seized.

And the extraordinary losses have not gone unnoticed by enraged Kremlin officials.

President Zelensky’s men have made significant gains in the port city of Kherson, the only provincial capital captured since February 24 and still under Russian control.

Russian troops have been ordered to withdraw and “regroup to gather their forces” even though Putin announced them as independent just last week.

The despot signed executive decrees recognizing Kherson and Zaporizhia as independent states and paving the way for their annexation.

He appointed Kirill Stremousov as head of the so-called People’s Republic of Kherson, who is using his new platform to denounce General Shoigu’s failures.

It’s a major breakdown between officials when the puppet leader berated one of Putin’s closest allies.

In a video shared on social media, Stremousov fumed: “A lot of people are saying that the defense minister, as an officer who let this happen, could shoot himself.

“But you know what, the word ‘officer’ isn’t familiar to some people.”

The character assassination of the military chief indicates that Putin’s thugs are collapsing under the pressure of Ukraine’s successes.

Stremousov said Kherson was unavailable in the four-minute clip and insisted his defense was “under wraps”.

But after several embarrassing withdrawals, he turned the attention to senior military officials, describing them as “useless and corrupt generals and looters.”

A Kremlin insider’s explosive comment has led the West to question solidarity between Putin’s men as the invasion falters.

General Shoigu has been blamed for his antiquated tactics, poor planning, and haphazard organization since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

Losses in key battles in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lyman and in the Kherson region only increased criticism of the military chief.

He was convicted for sending miserable mobilized soldiers to the front lines with only rusted weapons and 60-year-old tanks.

WAVING WHITE FLAGS

And the Russian military has been ridiculed for sending Tinpot troops — who are aging, unfit and untrained — to the front lines.

Stremousov spoke as Ukraine announced that its military had recaptured almost 3,000 km2 of land from Russia.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a speech late Wednesday that Novovoskresenske, Novohryhorivka and Petropavlivka northeast of the city of Kherson had been “liberated”.

Remarkable footage emerged showing Ukrainian defenders spectacularly dodging a barrage of Russian shells as they charged in cars across fields towards Kherson.

According to British military intelligence, they managed to push Russia back 12 miles to the south.

Meanwhile, other footage from the front shows Russian soldiers surrendering with a white flag on their tank on the Kherson front.

It comes after a US official revealed Ukraine could retake Crimea – which was annexed by Russia in 2014 – if it continues to retake territories at this pace.

The next step for Kiev’s armed forces is a potentially three-pronged offensive south, the newspaper reports.

The source told the Telegraph: “Ukraine’s retaking of Crimea is now a clear possibility and can no longer be discounted.

“It is clear that Russia no longer has the ability or willpower to defend key positions, and if the Ukrainians achieve their goal of retaking Kherson, then there is a very real possibility that they will eventually be able to retake Crimea. “
