Russia is investigating UFOs after fighter jet pilots encounter mysterious spacecraft, Putin’s space chief admits

RUSSIA is investigating UFOs as military pilots have reported encounters with the mysterious phenomena, confirmed the head of Vladimir Putin’s space agency.

Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Roscosmos – Moscow’s response to NASA, admitted that the topic has moved from fringe conspiracy theories to a full-blown national security discussion.

Washington has been awash with talk of the unexplained encounters – now more commonly referred to as Unidentified Airborne Phenomena (UAP) – and it appears the same is true in Moscow.

Rogozin told Russian state television that he believes in the existence of extraterrestrial life – saying that extraterrestrial civilizations may be smarter and more advanced than humans.

And he said the aliens could already be scrutinizing humanity, much like human scientists study and monitor bacteria.

He said, “We can study bacteria, but we can also be studied like bacteria.”

The space chief said humanity’s ability to study space remains limited, but confirmed that the Russian Academy of Sciences is “collecting facts” about UFOs.

Rogozin said that so far “99.9 percent” of the cases they’ve studied have turned out to be “atmospheric and other physical phenomena.”

But he left the door open to the last unexplained 0.1 percent, saying there are likely “real” UFO sightings.

“We continue to assume that such a [real UFO] There may have been sightings,” Rogozin said.

And he said he spoke to Soviet-era test pilots who reported spotting strange objects when they first tested new planes.

Rogozin said: “What we are talking about usually took place during the first Test fights.”

He claimed he spoke to NASA and heard similar reports from their test pilots.

The space boss made the claims just as UFOs entered the mainstream.

US lawmakers grilled intelligence chiefs over the encounters last month when they confessed they had investigated 400 sightings and 11 near misses over the last year.

It was the first hearing of this kind in 20 years.

The intelligence chiefs tried to explain how difficult it is to track down these objects and showed congressmen two videos.

And while they didn’t mention aliens, they did admit that some of the 400 encounters they have in their books are genuinely inexplicable.

It came from a landmark Pentagon report in 2021 after leaking three videos showing US Navy encounters with unexplained objects.

UFOs are now being discussed by former intelligence officials, ex-soldiers, lawmakers, NASA and even former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

NASA has even revealed their own plan to study UFOs – but made it clear they didn’t explicitly link it to extraterrestrials.

Although it’s unclear what the phenomenon actually is, there seems to be something in the sky that can’t be explained.
