And the stars flocked to the exclusive event on the green carpet at the Griffith Observatory.

Beckham was joined by musicians such as Kelly Osbourne, Angelina Jordan and Mexican actor Cristo Fernandez.

Stunning model Charly Jordan – who has 4.6million Instagram followers – was also in attendance, wearing a skintight black dress.

The US national soccer team was also in attendance, including former men’s international Alexi Lalas and former women’s team manager Jill Ellis.

Former Mexican goalkeeper Jorge Campos and Honduran journalist Ana Jurka were also guests.

However, the biggest name in attendance was Real Madrid and Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario, who shared the stage with the FIFA boss Gianni Infantino to help launch WE ARE 26.

Infantino said: “WE ARE 26 is a battle cry.

“It’s a moment when three countries and a whole continent say together: ‘We are united to welcome the world and host the biggest, best and most comprehensive FIFA World Cup ever’.”

“The tournament will allow each host country and each participating team to write their own page Story Books of the FIFA World Cup, and this unique brand is an important step towards 2026.

“In just a few hours, the 16 amazing host cities will add even more color and excitement by showcasing each of the brands developed by FIFA.

“These unique city identities embody the fun, amazing people and places that will provide fans with an unparalleled experience in 2026.”

“While we’re partying here L.A Tonight, a whole continent is celebrating together as the whole world will unite in North America for the greatest show ever Earth in just three years.”

FIFA Vice-President Victor Montagliani said: “The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be a celebration of football that will take the sport to new heights in the Concacaf region and beyond.”

“With 104 games played in 16 cities across Canada, Mexico and the United States, it presents a tremendous opportunity to excite people and attract new fans to the beautiful sport.”

“This innovative brand and inclusive ‘WE ARE 26’ campaign are important milestones that bring this opportunity one step closer and send a clear signal that this incredible competition is now truly on the horizon.”

“I very much look forward to continuing to work with all of the host cities, the team at FIFA and the many key stakeholders to deliver the largest, most comprehensive and diverse World Cup ever.”
