Allison, 49, recently revealed they were “pulling a Kravis before it was a thing” in Italy when she shared a video of her in a wedding dress on Instagram, referencing Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s recent ceremony .

A source exclusively told The Sun that the super-private wedding took place at Francis Ford Coppola’s estate – the Palazzo Margherita – in Bernalda, a small town in southern Italy.

Although Ron, 72, and actress Allison did not receive a marriage license, upon their return they went to a California courthouse and signed the papers.

The insider said: “They were planning to be officially married in Italy but Allison booked a movie and it messed up her schedule.

“They were on holiday in Malta and still very keen to get married, but sadly didn’t have enough time to do the proper paperwork.

“That didn’t stop her from holding her romantic ceremony in nearby Bernalda and it was the perfect day.

“They just took a video on Allison’s phone before running downstairs to the ceremony and inviting other hotel guests to help them celebrate.”

The footage shows the couple dancing to Frank Sinatra’s You Make Me Feel So Young, with Allison wearing a short, long-sleeved white lace dress and veil by LA’s Stone Cold Fox.

Ron looks dapper in a dark suit, blue shirt and light tie while beaming and swaying from side to side with his new wife in luxurious surroundings just minutes before they said “I do”.

Exclusive photos made available to The Sun show the couple in a romantic setting in Malta ahead of the ceremony and feature Allison in a stunning green dress.

Ron and Allison declined to publicly comment on their marriage when asked about it.

The source said the couple wanted to keep their wedding a secret following backlash on social media surrounding his divorce from Opal, the mother of his two children.

An insider previously told The Sun that Ron and Allison, who have been friends for a number of years, only became romantic after his split from his wife and there was no crossover.

“They’re really enjoying married life, Allison doesn’t have a wedding ring yet but Ron has been secretly wearing a band for a few months,” a source said.

DIFFICULT DIVORCE

“Because of the pandemic, they haven’t felt right to organize a big ceremony, but they plan to have their really big day next year in New York, which will be attended by friends and family.”

In her response to Ron’s divorce filing, Opal cited “irreconcilable differences” and listed May 10, 2019 as the date of separation.

The former couple are proud parents to Blake and Brandon, and their divorce was officially announced last year, with a source saying Opal is “doing fine” and they are successfully co-parenting.

“It’s been a tough road for Ron and Allison, they were good friends before they got romantic,” an insider previously told The Sun.

“When stories came out about them being together, she said [Allison] was branded a human thief, which was not the case.

“Sometimes people make decisions in their marriage, but it’s not official for a long time. It was painful for everyone as no one knew the truth.

“He has nothing but love and respect for Opal and is very close to his children but it’s a complicated situation. When you fall in love later in life, it gets messy.”

They continued, “Ron these days is like a new man. Before lockdown, he and Allison started taking tango and waltz dancing classes, he’s exercising more, eating healthy and even drinking green smoothies.

“He says Allison makes him feel younger and they don’t care about the age difference at all. Everyone who hangs out with them thinks they’re a perfect match.”

The couple first met while starring on the TV show StartUp in 2018 and always “joked” and had “a lot of camaraderie” on set while filming in Puerto Rico.

They stayed in the US after the show ended, and Ron supported Allison’s performances in Los Angeles with The Groundlings – an improv and sketch comedy troupe.
