He went on to criticize the “passive” prosecution of figures like Hunter Biden and Hilary Clinton and insisted he would hold the Justice Department accountable if he became president.

In a brief statement on Twitter, the 2024 hopeful wrote, “The use of federal law enforcement as a weapon poses a deadly threat to a free society.”

“For years we have seen unequal application of the law based on political affiliation.

“Why are they so eager to pursue Trump and yet so passive to Hillary or Hunter?”

He added, “The DeSantis administration will report to the Justice Department, eliminate political bias, and end arming once and for all.”

Donald Trump announced his latest indictment via his Truth Social account on Thursday.

The case centers on sensitive materials that the former president allegedly brought to his home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, without proper authorization.

The former president is reportedly facing at least seven charges, including willfully concealing national defense secrets in violation of the Espionage Act, making false statements and conspiring to obstruct justice New York Times reported.
