Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar increased ticket sales of the day by 1 view

Universal Champion match announcement Roman Dynasties and Brock Lesnar had a big impact on WWE Day 1.

As reported by Observer (via Chair by the barn), ticket sales for WWE Day 1 improved greatly after WWE announced Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar in the main event of the show. However, it is unlikely that pay-per-view will sell out entirely:

In the Daily Update, the Observer noted that tickets for 1 day Start moving much faster after the announcement of Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar but it’s still unlikely to sell out.

WWE Day 1 is the latest pay-per-view date on the company’s calendar, which will take place on January 1, 2022. Other matches announced so far are Big E vs. Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens for the WWE Championship, Edge vs Miz and The Usos vs. New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

WWE will be announcing more pay-per-view matches in the coming weeks. Speculated matches include Becky Lynch against Liv Morgan for the RAW Women’s Championship and Charlotte Flair against Toni Storm for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

The reported plans for Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have had many feuds over the past few years. However, this is the most special because the roles are all different. Roman Reigns is the biggest heel in WWE right now, and fans are loving babyface, Brock Lesnar. The involvement of Paul Heyman and his dilemma made the feud all the more interesting.

Dave Meltzer report that the plan for their match at WWE Day 1 is to have a grand finale, leading to a rematch, possibly in the main event of WrestleMania 38:

” At this point, Reigns vs. Lesnar is scheduled to be a match designed to have a big ending that will make everyone want a rematch, which at this point will be the main event of WrestleMania. ”

Before that, the two faced each other at WWE Crown Jewel 2021, where Reigns kept his title after help from The Usos.
