Robert Lewandowski ‘ask Matty Cash about Aston Villa and Premier League’ amid Man Utd and Chelsea transfer link

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI is said to have cornered Matty Cash while on international duty with Poland to ask him all about the Premier League – and Aston Villa.

24-year-old defender, whose grandparents are Polish, recently moved his allegiance away from England and won his first two caps for them in the past week.

After coming on as a substitute in a 4-1 win over Andorra, he was stuck in their World Cup qualifying loss to Hungary.

Off the pitch, however, a new report says that at the team hotel he was pulled aside for a lengthy chat with the biggest superstar in the country he adopted.

And The Athletic claims the star, who has previously been linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, wants to know all about life in England’s top flight from Villa ace.

They say Lewandowski pulled Cash aside for a 30-minute chat to ask him about the Premier League, Villa and his family background.

Striker of Bayern Munich Lewandowski is said to want a new challenge after seven years with the German giants.

The 33-year-old is happy at Bayern, but earlier this year there were rumors that he wanted to move to another top European club before the age of 35.

However, Bayern are playing hard with their killer and will only do business for at least £100m.

Lewandowski still has more than 18 months left on his contract and his club’s valuation will likely make him leave this January.

Bayern have yet to offer to extend his current contract.

Lewandowski is aware that it will be more difficult for him to move to a big club in 2023 due to his age – even if he leaves for free.

Lewandowski won Fifa and Uefa Player of the Year in 2020 and he scored 56 goals for club and country last season.

He has continued that dazzling form this term with 28 goals in 23 games for Bayern and Poland.
