Robert Englund makes his Stranger Things debut in a disturbing new image

There’s a lot to look forward to in the upcoming fourth season of stranger things, including the upcoming arrival of horror icon Robert Englund!

Ahead of the show’s fourth season, Netflix announced that the Nightmare on Elm Street icon would find his way to Hawkins in a mysterious role. The casting move has got horror fans even more excited for the highly anticipated fourth season and couldn’t have been a better tribute to the decade in which the season will take place.

While the details of how Englund’s character will translate into this season remain unclear, as expected, Netflix has given fans a chilling first look at his new character, both in the form of an eerie new image and a brief cameo in the re-release stranger things Season 4 trailers!

Who does Robert Englund play in Season 4 of Stranger Things?

In the upcoming fourth season, Robert Englund will take on the role of Victor Creel, a new character who seems poised to play a major role in the season.

Creel House was heavily featured in the run-up to the season, including in a teaser that suggested the house could be a gateway to the Upside Down. With Englund set to play Victor Creel, it will be interesting to see how his character plays into the season.

Given that his character is described as “a disturbed and intimidating man locked up in a mental hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s,” we’re expecting him to be one of the season’s most villainous characters, but could he be an unexpected ally to the Hawkins crew?

After a blink-and-you-miss-it-style appearance at the stranger things In the Season 4 trailer, Robert Englund takes center stage in a new still from the season that’s sure to send shivers down your spine.

In the new image, viewers get their first glimpse of Englund’s character, Victor Creel, whose facial scars seem to indicate the character went through some sort of traumatic experience. Given what we know about the character – ie the fact that he was incarcerated in a mental hospital for a gruesome murder – it will be interesting to see how he plays into the upcoming season and what caused the scars around his eyes .

Could it have been related to the supernatural elements? Do they come from an experience during his stay in the psychiatric ward? We’ll have to wait until May 27th to find out when Season 4 arrives on Netflix.
