River Park in Bonita Springs under LCSO supervision after reports of sex in the woods

BONITA SPRING

A scandal is taking over a family park in Bonita Springs. Investigators said there had been a flurry of complaints after middle-aged men were caught having sex in River Park.

River Park is known as a place to come and sit, relax and enjoy the outdoors, or a park where you can follow the trails.

“If I were to bring my wife or my grandchildren here, they wouldn’t appreciate the fact that it was happening,” said George Scukanec, from Bonita Springs.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, what’s going on in the woods along the boardwalk is men coming to see other men for sex.

Delegates are patrolling the park right now. They found a couple of guys last Thursday. One admits to what he just did to the other.

Scukanec said, “I think we’re having a hard time in the world today where people have to walk the boardwalk to do it, right? As for privacy, right? ”

The calls and complaints seem to be piling up because, in addition to the patrols, representatives from the Lee County Sheriff’s Department set up an observation tower Wednesday, like the ones you see at malls and shops during the holiday.

“I think things are getting weird. I mean really, come on. It used to be a nice quiet community. What happened, right? ‘ said Scukanec.

The sheriff’s office said two men arrested in the park were facing indecent charges.
