ARSENAL fans abandoned their side before the final whistle as Brighton brutally quashed their title dream.

Thousands of fans left the Emirates after Deniz Undav gave his side a 2-0 lead in the 86th minute.

And many fans were probably just entering Holloway Road station or getting comfortable on the tube when Pervis Estupinan scored a third in the dying seconds.

A few Gooners bravely chanted their club’s name as Brighton celebrated during regulation time, but it was few in number.

Others even waited to applaud an impressive Seagulls side off the field, but there were plenty of vacancies well before the final whistle.

TV cameras caught fans leaving the pitch and rival fans couldn’t help but poke fun at the Gunners after they nearly lost the Premier League title.

One fan wrote: “Arsenal’s parade came early.”

Another added: “Arsenal fans are already halfway home 🤣”

A third said: “Don’t worry Arsenal fans, the ‘We pushed Man City to the top’ trophy is the biggest in world football 😂”

And another commented: “They started getting eliminated when their team was 2-0 down which made it all the more embarrassing. fans? Questionable.”

Arsenal are now four points behind leaders Manchester City after Ilkay Gundogan and Erling Haaland gave them a 3-0 win over Everton.

The Gunners also played a game more so City could own the title if Mikel Arteta’s side lose to Nottingham Forest next Saturday.
