Rival fans are asking Man Utd to give Weghorst a lifetime deal after a horrific slip during the Seville draw

FANS of Manchester United’s Prem rivals want Wout Weghorst to sign a ‘lifetime contract’ after his stunning performance against Sevilla.

Weghorst’s goal frenzy continued when he missed the goal in the 2-2 draw in the Theater of Dreams.

The Netherlands international’s decision-making was also questioned when he failed to find Anthony Elanga to make it 3-0 and end the game.

And Footy fans couldn’t help but blast the forward, with one Chelsea supporter saying: “I love Weghorst.”

Another said sarcastically: “Weghorst is such a good player. I think he should be given a chance.”

And another Footy fan said: “The only win in this man’s career is that brace against Argentina I think.”

One Cristiano Ronaldo fan remarked: “And [Erik] Ten Hag has called him a replacement for Ronaldo.”

Another chimed in: “I would love for him to sign a lifetime deal with Man Utd what a player he is.”

United legend Paul Scholes also lashed out at Weghorst, saying: “I think he should turn and shoot.

“If you look back who is standing on the edge of the box, [Tyrell] Malacia, I don’t think he’s someone you think will score.

“I think a real centre-forward, a centre-forward with real quality [shoots].

“If that’s a martial, he either rushes it and tries to score, or he turns around quickly and puts his shot away quickly and scores.

“He’s five or six meters away!”

Weghorst and his United team-mates will be back in action on Sunday afternoon, traveling to the City Ground to take on relegation strugglers Nottingham Forest.
