LOS ANGELES (AP) – Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings will continue to host the tag team of “Jeopardy!” for the rest of this season.

“We are thrilled to have such an outstanding and experienced team in front of and behind the camera as we head into 2022!” producer Sony Pictures Television said on Wednesday. Michael Davies will remain the show’s executive producer, Sony said.

Last September, Bialik and Jennings were announced as temporary hosts after Sony’s efforts to replace the late Alex Trebek ran into difficulties. Mike Richards, who served as the show’s executive producer, got the job of host and then lost it – and soon, his producer role – when podcast comments were questionable in the show. His past resurfaced.

Jennings, record holder for “Jeopardy!” Longest! winning, is a consultant producer for the show. Bialik has been chosen to host “Jeopardy!” main time and spin-off series, including the new college championship.

“Risk!” used a host of guest hosts, including Richards, for shows filmed after Trebek’s death. The beloved presenter passed away in November 2020 from cancer.

The show is in its 38th season, with new episodes scheduled to air through July 29, 2022. ‘Risk!’ stay with the home team Bialik, Jennings for the season
