Rishi Sunak toasts three years outside the EU and welcomes Brexit benefits

RISHI Sunak toasted to three years outside the EU tonight by hailing the benefits of Brexit.
He said his first 100 days as prime minister seized opportunities to leave by cutting bureaucracy, opening freeport trade centers and doing away with crazy Brussels rules.

And the Tory leader – who will pass the milestone on Thursday – said “this is just the beginning”.
He said: “In the three years since leaving the EU, we have made great strides in harnessing the freedoms that Brexit has unlocked.
“We were able to overcome the challenges of the generations.
“Whether leading the fastest vaccine rollout in Europe, forging trade deals with over 70 countries, or taking back control of our borders, we have confidently embarked on a path as an independent nation.
“And in my first 100 days as Prime Minister, that momentum hasn’t waned.
“We are reducing the bureaucratic burden for companies and leveling out our free ports.
“And we are developing our own fairer farming system to protect the British countryside.”
