Rio Ferdinand pokes fun at Micah Richards after the pundit opened up about Real Madrid goalkeeper Karim Benzema

MICAH RICHARDS has been trolled by Rio Ferdinand over his earlier comments on Karim Benzema following the striker’s hat-trick against Chelsea.
The Real Madrid assassin rampaged in the first leg of Spain’s Champions League quarter-final game against the west Londoners on Wednesday night, scoring two fantastic header goals in the first half before scoring a third just after half-time.

Richards caused a stir last month when he said he wondered if Benzema was as good as Harry Kane.
And former Manchester United defender Ferdinand was quick to remind his former England team-mate of those comments after the Frenchman’s exploits at Stamford Bridge.
Ferdinand tweeted “Benzemaaaaaaa” before tagging Richards, leaving a slew of laughing emojis.
Footy fans were quick to flock to the former Manchester City defender-turned-pundit, with one saying: “If Karim Benzema continues at this pace, Micah Richards reckoned he could even catch Paul Dickov.”

Another said: “Micah Richards must be feeling like a real pillow after his recent comments about Benzema.”
And another said: “Someone please check Micah Richards.”
One remarked, “Micah Richards, never disrespect my husband like that.”
Ferdinand’s tweet referenced Richard’s recent claim that Benzema has only just proved he is on par with Spurs hitman Harry Kane.

Speaking about his thoughts on Benzema’s hat-trick against Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 last month, Richards said: “But now he’s won me over.”
A shocked Thierry Henry responded by asking, “Right now?”
Richards doubled down on his stance, saying: “Lately, for the last six months.
“He’s convinced he’s at the top with Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski.”
A stunned Henry added: “Wow. Just tonight?!” To which Richards replied, “The last six months.”
Richards was quick to defend himself against Ferdinand’s criticism by trying to bring up his former international teammate’s praise for sacked Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 33-year-old tweeted: Almost as bad as you scream Ole at the wheel!
“Don’t forget to tweet @GaryLineker who never rated him either.”
