RIO FERDINAND has admitted the gap between Manchester United and Manchester City is even bigger than he thought.
The Red Devils legend looked on in horror as his old side were humiliated 6-3 by City at the Etihad this afternoon.
Ferdinand, 43, took to Twitter during the game to share what a miserable afternoon he was having.
Late in the first hour, he wrote, “My phone pings right out… For the wrong reasons ffs.”
He then added: “Bunker pending…”
A minute later, he continued in another tweet: “WhatsApp groups on fire…for the wrong reasons…”
He then wrote: “The class gap between @ManUtd and @ManCity is bigger than I thought before this game had started…”
After the game, Ferdinand added: “Absolutely mined… Gap between the two sides in Manchester!
“We showed a fight in the second half or City stepped on the gas….
“By the way, Haaland treats these CBs in the Premier League with no respect.”

The red-hot Norwegian scored a hat-trick, his third for City in just eight Prem games.
Phil Foden also clinched a treble while Antony scored for United ahead of Anthony Martial’s late brace.
Ferdinand wasn’t the only United old boy to scale his former side.
Roy Keane called the performance “very embarrassing” – while Gary Neville claimed the Red Devils “bottled it up”.
Erik ten Hag, meanwhile, gave a bizarre reason for leaving Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench.
When asked why he didn’t sign the 37-year-old, Ten Hag said it was “out of respect for his great career”.
