Retired doctor ‘showed signs of brain trauma after Gwyneth Paltrow crash’

The health of a retired eye doctor “suddenly deteriorated” after actress Gwyneth Paltrow collided with him on a ski slope, a court heard yesterday.
dr Terry Sanderson, 76, was said to be a “very powerful person with high energy” before the collision.

But neuroradiologist Wendell Gibby said he later “suffered from interactions and had trouble multitasking.”
He said: “Terry was a very high-functioning, energetic person. Every day he did many things.
“Meeting with groups, wine tasting, skiing, volunteering.
“But after his accident, his condition took a sudden turn for the worse and many of the activities he used to do he stopped doing, like dancing, mostly his skiing activities.
“His personal interactions with his children and grandchildren suffered and he struggled to multitask.
“He would go to Home Depot and forget why he was there.”
He concluded that Dr. Sanderson “showed the characteristics of a traumatic brain injury.”
Doctor is seeking £245,000 in damages over 2016 accident in Park City, Utah.
Paltrow, 50, insists he hit her and is filing a countersuit.
The case continues.
