It comes as ministers scrapped plans to ban unhealthy buy-one-get-one-free deals as the cost of living crises bite.
But the World Health Organization warned that Britain’s deliveroo lifestyle makes us the fattest nation in Europe.
Being overweight increases your risk of diseases like diabetes, heart and liver disease, and cancer.
Michelle Mitchell, Chief Executive of Cancer Research UK, said: “These forecasts should serve as a wake-up call for the Government on the state of health of our nation.

“Ministers must not keep getting left behind in tackling the obesity crisis.”
dr Julie Sharp, Head of Health and Patient Information at Cancer Research UK, said: “If these startling trends continue, obesity will eclipse smoking as the leading cause of cancer.”
Tam Fry of the National Obesity Forum said obesity is becoming the “new norm”.
He added: “The prediction of 21 million obese adults by 2040 could well grow to 30 million by 2050 unless drastic action is taken very soon.”
dr Julie Sharp, the charity’s health director, added: “If these trends continue, obesity will eclipse smoking as the leading cause of cancer.”
