Red Lobster is bringing back the highly anticipated fan favorite and introducing two new dishes – but for a limited time

RED Lobster fans will be thrilled to know a popular dish is back – but only for a limited time.

The chain restaurant’s annual Lobsterfest brings two brand new entrees to the Red Lobster menu, along with returning fan-favorite Lobster Lover’s Dream.

The seafood restaurant’s event, which kicked off January 23, will add brand new dishes to the menu, including Lobster & Shrimp Tacos and Lobster & Shrimp-Topped Sirloin.

However, Lobster Fest ends on April 24 — which means lobster fans should hurry to get their seafood before their favorite dishes leave the menu.

In addition to the two new dishes and the Lobster Lover’s Dream, the Lobsterfest offering includes Maine Lobster Tail Duo, Live Maine Lobster and Bar Harbor Lobster Bake.

Of course, every Lobsterfest menu is served with the popular Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

In addition to the Classic Lobsterita, Lobsterfest guests can also enjoy their meals with two brand new cocktails – a Berry Sunset Lobsterita and a Passion Fruit Lobsterita, available frozen.

Patty Trevino, chief marketing officer at Red Lobster, said, “For this year’s Lobsterfest we’ve put together a menu that’s perfect for both those who are already lobsters and those looking to expand their love of lobster.”

“The variety of options we’re offering with lobster this year will satisfy any appetite, and you can even add some variety by pairing it with shrimp or steak.

“Lobster lovers will not want to miss this year’s event,” concluded Trevino.

The exciting menu comes as Red Lobster recently closed at least eight of its restaurants in a bid to rebuild business.

Founded in 1968, Red Lobster has 680 restaurants in its portfolio across the United States and Canada.

The company is in the process of improving its menu and operations, which will likely vary by location.

These changes come after Red Lobster was acquired in 2020 by one of its key seafood suppliers and investors, Thai Union Group and Seafood Alliance.

The purchase was seen as an attempt to grow the business again as it was taken over by two well-known global restaurant operators, Paul Kenny and Rit Thirakomen.

The chain said the recent closures are a normal part of the process and growth path.

“We regularly review our restaurant portfolios as part of the normal course of business,” a Red Lobster spokesman told The US Sun.

“As a result, we have concluded that these locations are no longer suitable for Red Lobster,” they added.
