Red Flags Racquel Sabean’s ex Tyler Adams revealed before veteran’s body was found in trunk, her father claims

Racquel Sabean’s boyfriend revealed some worrying warning signs before the victim was found dead in a trunk, her father told The US Sun exclusively.
Navy veteran Racquel Sabean, 40, of San Diego, California, was found stuffed into a red-and-white cooler inside a Volkswagen Jetta in Mexico last May after local residents reported a “foul smell.”

Her neck was broken and her seven-month-old baby girl, Valentina Sabean, was missing. The child was later found safe with a babysitter in Mexico after an Amber Alert was issued.
Racquel’s boyfriend of two years, Tyler Adams – whom she knew by the name of Paul Phillips – was pulled over by Mexican police officers but was reportedly uncooperative.
Police say the 50-year-old then fled the country under the false name “Aaron Bain” across the border into the United States and remains on the run.
Although he has not been charged with any crime, the FBI has confirmed that they intend to question him in connection with the murder.

Racquel’s father, David Sabean, exclusively told The US Sun that he “would bet my life” that Adams is his daughter’s killer.
He revealed that after making a good first impression, David became suspicious of Adams after revealing some dangerous red flags while he was with his daughter.
Racquel even mentioned that while Adams was always nice to her and polite to her father when David left, that’s another story, he said.
David described the fugitive – who used more than a dozen aliases, according to the FBI – as “fake” and “a master of disguise”.
He admits he was initially impressed with Adams before things took a turn for the worse.
“He was super nice,” said David, who has beaten up cops for allowing him to escape.
“For example, when I met him, he said, ‘Hi, I’m a Mormon.’ Wearing a white shirt and black tie, he said, ‘I was in the Navy, just like your daughter.'”
“And I thought, well, he’s a Mormon and you say you haven’t been drinking. And I never saw him drink. I thought, well, that’s good.”
However, he later noticed some worrying signs that things weren’t going well in Racquel’s relationship.
David recalled his daughter saying to him, “He’s nice to you. But when you’re not around, he’s not so nice to me,” referring to Adams.
“So I talked to her, I approached her, I said, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ [Do] You know? And she said, ‘Oh no, don’t worry, it’s nothing. I get along with him.’
“At some point I started thinking this guy was a phony, right?”
David recalled questioning Adams about his Mormon beliefs.
“We went to the beach, he took off his shirt. As he took off his shirt. I saw a tattoo on his left arm.”
“And I looked at that and I was like, guess what? I know Mormon families. I’ve never seen a Mormon, real Mormon … who has tattoos,” he said.
VIDEO MATERIAL
David believes the chilling CCTV footage recorded in the Tijuana neighborhood where Racquel’s body was found proves her boyfriend was the killer.
“In Mexico there is a video of [Adams] Parking my daughter’s car,” claimed David.
“He’s wearing black pants, black shoes, black mask, black gloves.”
“I saw it with my own eyes,” Racquel’s father continued.
“He parked their car where they found the body. Here we go.”
David confirmed Mexican police have access to the surveillance video – but that Adams has not been charged.
‘PEASANT’
Adams has other charges in Hawaii, including first- and second-degree theft.
According to the San Diego Reader, Hawaiian officials called Adams a “conman” and a “sociopath who had no regard for victims’ property or those who might be affected by his criminal activities.”
David was vocal in his criticism of how Racquel’s case was first handled at critical moments, such as when Adams escaped.
The heartbroken father claimed Mexican police took Adams to the border and handed him his phone, fake ID that said Aaron Bain and $200 pesos.
When David questioned the officer who took Adams to the border and handed him these things, he said the officer told him they had to do it.
“Why would you give someone a fake ID?” David had asked.
“You know he’s not.”

The US Sun previously contacted the Tijuana Police Department’s office in Playas de Tijuana, the Office of Police Director General Rafael Vásquez Hernández and the Secretary of State for Security and Citizen Protection’s Public Information Office for comments and updates.
