Red Dead Online’s latest update has drawn waves of disgruntled and frustrated fans who have been yearning for something new.
On Thursday, Rockstar announced the latest update of Red Dead Online features bonus exp in some pre-existing quests. These quests include A Land of Opportunities, Call to Arms, and Gang Hideouts, some of which are quests that were released years ago.
You’ll often see publishers of multiplayer-focused titles offering these types of bonuses over the weekend, enticing players to spend more time playing during their breaks. However, Red Dead Online’s latest bonus is running for a month and appears to be the only new update coming to the game during the aforementioned month period.
Understandably, some Red Dead Online players took to Twitter with the hashtag #SaveRedDeadOnline to try and get Rockstar noticed. From just a small group of die-hard fans, Rockstar allegedly ignored Red Dead Online despite having a lot of money at its disposal, as well as prioritizing GTA 5 over everything else.
It’s easy to see the point, especially if you’re a Red Dead Online fan. GTA 5 Online has been stably supported with new expansion since it launched in 2013, including new content with big stars like Dr. Dre. Compared to GTA 5 Online players, Red Dead Online players are starving.
Whether Rockstar will receive criticism from its own fans is completely unknown, but what we do know is that Rockstar is currently working on a next-gen version of GTA 5. The game is close. this has been delayed from November 2021 to March 2022, made fans angry again, and could be a possible reason for the lack of new things to do in Red Dead Online.
Hopefully Rockstar takes notice and starts producing some really gripping content for Red Dead Online players to immerse themselves in. It looks less and less likely.
Will fans switch to her new platform?
