Red Bull initially suspended Vips but have now canceled his contract following a full investigation.
A statement read: “Following its investigation into an online incident involving Juri Vips, Oracle Red Bull Racing has terminated Juri’s contract as a test and reserve driver.
“The team does not tolerate any form of racism.”
Vips joined Red Bull in 2018 and made his debut for the team at the Spanish GP this year after stepping in for Sergio Perez in first practice.
As well as being their reserve and test driver, he drives for Hitech in F2 and could still be at the British GP this week.
The driver issued a full apology for his actions on Instagram, adding that he will fully cooperate with the team in their investigation.
He wrote: “I would like to apologize unreservedly for the offensive language used during a live gaming stream.
This language is totally unacceptable and does not represent the values and principles that I espouse.
“I deeply regret my actions and this is not the example I want to set. I will fully cooperate with the investigation.”
A former national and Formula 4 champion, Vips is currently in his third season in F2 with the Hitech Grand Prix team.
He has also been a test and reserve driver for Red Bull and Alpha Tauri in Formula 1 since 2020, having joined the team’s youth program in 2018.
