Rebel Wilson sexually harassed by ‘big time’ director and ‘disgusting’ co-star

Movie star Rebel Wilson recalled two experiences of sexual harassment in the film world, with one incident involving an unnamed actor and four other women who were also complained on set.

Rebel Wilson reported being sexually harassed at work on two separate occasions.
Australian actress – who recently talked about objections from her manager before her recent weight loss – first unwanted harassment in his twenties, by a “big time” movie director in a hotel room.
The second incident occurred on a set in Los Angeles, when an unnamed actor invited her to his trailer and behaved in a “disgusting” and inappropriate manner.
Rebel, 41 years old, told BBC After many years, she now had the courage to speak out against that despicable behavior.
Recounting her first experience of sexual harassment in the film industry, the Pitch Perfect star told how she was invited to chat with a “hit” film director in his hotel room in Australia, who she thought she wanted to “talk funny”.

“He kept trying to get me to drink more and more,” she recalls.
She then told the broadcaster how the director then took the call from his wife and that she was left “sitting on the couch” and could hear his calls through the phone’s speaker.
“She started saying, ‘you’ve got Rebel in that hotel room, you’re going to sleep with her…'” I heard the message.
“That was the first time I thought, ‘Oh my god, what is this? What’s going on?’

She added: “If I don’t hear her voice on the phone, screaming over the phone, what could happen?”
Rebellion then recalls hastily leaving the room and never continuing to discuss the disturbing encounter with anyone.
The Bridemaids star then went on to revisit a second incident of sexual harassment, which occurred years later on an American set.
Rebel explains how she was invited to her male co-star’s trailer, where he continued to pull his pants down as she entered and demanded that she perform lewd acts, as his male friends watched and filmed. movies on their phones.
The actress did not name the actor or any of his friends present in the trailer.
“I was in shock, I thought, ‘What’s going on?’ Just keep saying, ‘no, what is this?’ Like, ‘no, no, no’,” the star painfully recalls BBC.
“His friends are laughing and he’s clearly enjoying it.”
Rebel went on to say that the incident happened before the Me Too movement and that she was “absolutely not sure what to do” while abroad.
The Australian star called her agent at the time, and they reported the unnamed actor to the set – in anticipation that Rebel was the fourth woman to complain about the male star.
Rebel continued on the project anonymously because she “felt it was the professional job to do”, but confessed that things would have turned out differently if a similar incident happened again.
“Now I have the courage to say, OK, that’s disgusting,” she stated in her interview.
