Real Madrid star Karim Benzema appears in a candid Instagram post at the SNUB France World Cup

KARIM BENZEMA appears to have turned down the possibility of a return to France’s squad for Sunday’s World Cup final.
The Real Madrid star was originally named in the 26-man Les Bleus squad and even traveled to Qatar with his team-mates.

However, he was forced to return home with a hamstring injury sustained during his side’s first training session in the Middle East.
Having already had to replace the ailing Christopher Nkunku with Randal Kolo Muani, France opted not to call up a replacement for Benzema – leaving him, at least on paper, still eligible to play as part of their squad.
Boss Didier Deschamps was asked after his side’s semi-final win over Morocco if Benzema could return to Qatar to play in the final.
Deschamps sighed dismissively before refusing to answer the question, seemingly out of contempt.
It seems Benzema has no interest in returning anyway if his latest Instagram post is anything.
The 34-year-old posted a snap of himself snarling at a camera while donning a baseball cap and sporting a thick, bushy beard.
He captioned the post: “I’m not interested.”
Real Madrid teammate Dani Ceballos responded with a flame emoji.

While Lucas Vazquez wrote “At home” before also adding a flame emoji.
Benzema is said to have been furious at how Deschamps was dealing with his injury.
The reigning Ballon d’Or winner was reportedly particularly upset when his manager said: “It’s a shame Karim you have to go.”
It seems Benzema felt hurt as he was pushed out and forced to abandon the squad in Qatar.
He has since returned to full fitness and recently even played a friendly for Real Madrid.
The LaLiga champions would have happily allowed Benzema back to Qatar after recovering faster than expected.
But neither the French coaching staff nor the player himself seem to want that.
A man that DOES wants Benzema to reach the final is French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to Marca, Macron wants the striker as well as injured duo N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba to be part of the group on Sunday.
Argentina opponents have welcomed Sergio Aguero and Giovani Lo Celso to their camp – with also unavailable players Joaquin Correa and Nicolas Gonzalez who will also be in the final with their group.
