MALAKI Paul wowed the judges when he appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.
Now, 10 years later, the child star is unrecognizable and is pursuing a career in the music and television industries.
Back on the ITV show, the youngster – now aged 20 – gave an emotional rendition of Beyoncé’s lists, but things came to an abrupt halt as nerves got the better of him and he burst into tears.
Not a dry eye stayed in the house as his mother ran out of star to comfort her nine-year-old son.
Judge Alesha Dixon also rushed from her seat and helped calm Malaki’s nerves before he began his audition again.
When he finished singing, there was universal praise as Alesha said he was “a natural talent”, while David Walliams admitted his performance was a “really special audition”.
In the semifinals, Malaki sang the Alicia Keys hit No-One, with Simon Cowell commenting, “Today you went to a man for a boy”.
However, his time on the show ended when the judges had to choose between him and the dance troupe Nu Sxool.
Shortly after appearing on the show, Malaki landed a role in the West End musical The Bodyguard, starring Heather Headley.
He has continued his love for music, releasing a single called SHY with rapper FarrdaT in 2019.
He’s also dabbled in some filming with a regular appearance on Idris Elba’s sky comedy-drama series In the Long Run.
He is credited as the “Singing Boy” in several episodes, including a Christmas special in 2019.
