According to Channel 2, Gunna was reportedly sentenced to five years in prison.

One of his five years is to be served in prison, but since he has already served time, he is released.

The remaining four years of his sentence have been suspended.

Gunna will be subject to special conditions that include 500 hours of community service, the outlet reports.

A significant portion of his ministry will be devoted to young people, speaking about the dangers and immorality of gangs and gang violence.

“While I have agreed to be honest at all times, I want to be absolutely clear that I have made NO statements, have NOT been questioned, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or testify for or against any party in the case” said Gunna.

In a statement after the sentencing, he added that he had “absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial in any way”.

However, as a condition of Gunna’s trial, he must testify if subpoenaed, but he can claim the Fifth Amendment.

Gunna was arrested back in May along with Young Thug and 26 others, all allegedly members of the alleged street gang Young Slime Life (YSL).

YSL has allegedly committed multiple murders, shootings and carjackings over the course of a decade, the outlet reported.

Gunna vowed in his pleading that he personally knows that members and individuals associated with YSL have committed crimes for the gang and that “YSL must end as a gang”.

In his statement, Gunna also said that when he joined Young Slime Life in 2016, he didn’t consider it a gang.

Instead, he claimed it was “more of a group of people from Metro Atlanta who shared common interests and artistic ambitions.”

“My focus at YSL was entertainment – rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and ‘glorified’ urban life in the black community.”

He added that he values his connection to YSL music and always will.

According to prosecutors, the YSL rappers promoted the alleged gang’s activities in songs and on social media.

Young Thug is still in prison.
