Randy Orton says WWE star Reggie’s move could cause injury

Randy Orton would like WWE RAW Superstar Reggie to reduce the number of flips as it could cause injury to yourself. The veteran believes Reggie’s eye-catching moves could lead to future knee injuries.

Ahead of this year’s WWE Royal Rumble, Randy Orton spoke to The Ringer Wrestling Show where he discusses the intricacies of sports entertainment he learned from John Cena.

He emphasizes the philosophy of “less is more” when performing in the ring and believes it can help the longevity of a superstar in WWE. Viper gave the example of Reggie, who performs incredible somersaults, which he believes could affect his long-term future in the business:

“It’s so hard to remember all of that and when you watch it again, you’ll never get a chance as a fan to sit down and digest whatever you’ve watched. Fuck, I love Reggie , he’s a St. Louisan like me, but I’m worried about that kid he’s doing somersaults like this, his knees are about to explode before he gets out and gets to work There’s something to be said about longevity in this sport, in this business “I learned a lot of that from John (Cena),” Orton said (from 35: 25 to 36:02)

Orton says he doesn’t want gymnastics to be mixed with professional wrestling and emphasizes the stories told in the ring.

Reggie’s WWE career to date

Reggie was signed by WWE two years ago, debuting as Carmella’s comparator on SmackDown. He then stepped into the ring in a match against Sasha Banks, which he lost.

He then entered the race for the title 24/7, holding it for 112 days – the longest in the history of the championship. Reggie eventually lost the title to Drake Maverick, but regained it that same night, only to lose it a few weeks later to Cedric Alexander.
