Rivers was hedging his bets on Three Card Poker at Caesars Palace and couldn’t believe his luck when he saw a royal flush unfold before his eyes.
His profits? Only $514,837.
That’s almost equal to his base salary of $705,000 for the Rams this season.
Rivers’ friends filmed the moment for a memorable Instagram post, shouting his name as the extent of his victory became apparent while the rookie’s smile shone.

He has since responded on Twitter with the comment “God is great [prayer emoji]”
According to FOX 5 Vegas, Rivers was in the city that never sleeps to celebrate his and his mom’s birthdays.
His winnings are reportedly being used to buy a home.
And fans were equally smitten with the rookie, with one commenting: “Great congratulations, what a birthday present.”
Another said: “Bulldog legend he deserves it!”
While one replied, “I once won $500 playing three card poker.”
This caps a memorable year for the youngster who didn’t draft Fresno State.
After assignments at the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks, Rivers eventually made it onto the Rams practice team.
He shuttled back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster for most of the 2022 NFL season, making eight appearances and rushing for a total of 21 yards.
