Ralph Yarl Update – Teen recovers after being shot for going into the wrong house in Kansas City and GoFundMe is closing in on its goal

A TEENAGE has been shot in the head after accidentally going to the wrong Kansas City home to pick up his younger twin brothers.

According to the Kansas City Police Department, officers were responding to reports of a shooting on the evening of April 13 and arrived to find Ralph Yarl, 16, who had been shot by a homeowner.

The teenager was taken to a local hospital where he was in stable condition as of Sunday.

Ralph’s aunt, Faith Spoonmore, has started a GoFundMe page that’s fast approaching her goal of $750,000.

Faith said: “Ralph deserves to have the future he dreams of. He deserves to be the light that shows the world that LOVE wins and that humanity is still good.”

  • Ralph’s parents asked the teenager to pick up his siblings

    Police were told the teenager’s parents had asked him to pick up his siblings at an address on 115th Terrace, but he accidentally went to a house on 115th Street.

    According to a joint statement by civil rights attorneys S. Lee Merritt and Benjamin Crump, the victim is a 16-year-old high school junior.

    The attorney said: “Despite the severity of his injuries and the seriousness of his condition, Ralph is alive and recovering.”
