Ralph Ahn Dies: The new actress who played Tran, died at the age of 95 – Obituary

Ralph Ahna character actor best known for his recurring role as Tran on Fox’s . New girlpassed away at the age of 95our sister site Diversity report. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.

“RIP,” series star Jake Johnson wrote on Instagram. “Nice to work with. He gave so much without any words.

“I love when he’s on set,” Johnson continued. “I always look forward to somehow working with him again. My condolences to his family [and] friends.” (Zooey Deschanel also acknowledged Ahn’s passing, commenting “Noooooo” along with a crying face emoji.)

Ahn first appeared in Season 2 episode “Menzies” when Johnson’s Nick Miller befriended Tran at the park. After Nick released his soul with Tran, the elderly man directed Nick to a nearby spa, where the two of them gathered in a hot tub and Tran proceeded to cradle Nick like an infant. Ahn will continue to appear in six more episodes of New girlconsists of 2018 Finals Series. He said all two lines during the show’s run, first when he called Nick “giant baby” in the aforementioned hot tub scene, and again during the finale when he He appeared in the back seat of “The Man’s Car Fancy” Russell and told him to “drive”.

In Season 4, Nick briefly dated Tran’s niece Kai, who was played by Morningby Greta Lee.
