RALF RANGNICK has agreed to work “six days a month” in an adviser role for Manchester United next season.
Rangnick, 63, was confirmed as Austria coach on Friday morning on a two-year deal with the national team.
The German’s further work at Old Trafford will “focus on recruitment”.
The Telegraph reports that Rangnick and next season’s manager Erik ten Hag have not even linked yet.
Rangnick said: “I can confirm that I will definitely continue my advisory role at the end of this season.
“I didn’t say I would play a big role, but we’ve definitely now reached an agreement on the content and timing of my advisory role.
“We haven’t spoken yet – Erik and I. Hopefully that will happen in the future.
“But like I said, I’m more than happy and willing to help and change things for the better.
“It would leave room for another job, but we agreed to start on that in November last year.”
Rangnick will referee his first Austria games in May for the UEFA Nations League games against Croatia, Denmark and France – once the Premier League is over.

He will then oversee Austria’s 2024 European Championship qualifying campaign and if he qualifies for the competition his contract will automatically be extended by two years.
The United manager has experience working in Austria, having previously worked at RB Salzburg as director of football.
Rangnick has been temporarily appointed as United’s gaffer after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was axed earlier in the season, with a view to a two-year tenure as an adviser from this summer.
He said in a statement on Man Utd’s official website: “I’m really looking forward to doing my bit to help United become a real force again.
“It is an honor for me to take on the role of (Austria) manager.
“The prospect of contesting the European Championships in Germany with a young team hungry for success fills me with great anticipation.”
