Ralf Rangnick admits he’s confused by Cristiano Ronaldo’s tantrum as Man Utd boss tries to explain latest upset fit

DIVA Cristiano Ronaldo is the only one who can explain his throbbing pains at the end of the game.
Portuguese superstar running down the tunnel after Tuesday’s game against Burnley – snooping on opposition players and traveling Manchester United fans.
This is not the first time Ronaldo acted as such after being used only as a substitute.
But asked what the problem was, United Boss Ralf Rangnick said: “It’s a question you have to ask Cristiano.
“I only realized it after the game. This is not a question that I can answer.”
However, Rangnick won’t back down on why he’s benched Ronaldo for the first seven games in 22 days.
He said: “Cristiano, as we all know, is 37. He knows what he should or shouldn’t do.
“Our focus is on what we can influence and grow.

“Why did he leave the field immediately after the final whistle? Maybe he was also frustrated because we only got a draw and he didn’t score.
“Again, this is not any kind of energy we should waste. We focus entirely on the things we can influence.”
What Rangnick has struggled to influence has been second-half performances in the last two games.
United took the lead at half-time against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup and against Burnley.
But they lose championship outfit Boro about punishment and was drawn 1-1 by the bottom team in the Premier League.
“If we concede a goal, against Middlesbrough in the 60th minute and Burnley in the 50th minute, we should stick to the game plan – not lose form or lose our temper,” Rangnick said.
“This is the most damaging part, we are not in the same position on the pitch. Here’s what we had to say when analyzing the match against Burnley.
“If the other team scores, we have to be aware of why we were so dominant before and not lose form.
“This was evident about 15 to 20 minutes before Burnley.”
United have been creating chances, but are missing them.
Ronaldo has only scored one goal in the last seven matches.
Rangnick said: “It’s not just Cristiano, we should score more goals.
“Obviously we are creating a lot of chances in the last few games but not scoring enough goals.”
