Morning news from Chelsea
SunSport have exclusively revealed how Inter Milan plan to strike a pay-sharing deal with Chelsea to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Italy.
The Serie A runners-up are keen to re-sign the striker and end his frustrations at Stamford Bridge
But with money at extra cost, they’re likely to push for a loan swap that will also see Chelsea have to pay part of his salary.
Inter are ready to pay just over a third of Lukaku’s around £325,000-a-week.
In other news, RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku has revealed he is “flattered” by the interest from a number of top clubs.
The Utd and Chelsea goal told Telefoot: “It’s no secret. There are clubs that are interested in me.
“Yes, it’s flattering, but it’s also flattering that a club like Leipzig is doing everything to keep me.
“I have to think and make a decision. The World Cup is just around the corner and that is another factor to consider.”
Meanwhile, new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is reportedly considering adding a former player to the club’s board.
Boehly led the consortium that bought Chelsea for £4.25bn and is looking to reshuffle the hierarchy.
The Daily Mail claim a former Chelsea player could be placed in a position of power.
Finally, Chelsea are reportedly in pole position to sign Ousmane Dembele from FC Barcelona this summer.
According to the Mail, they are in the best position to finalize the deal as rivals PSG have pulled out of the running.
The Parisians will instead focus on strengthening their midfield, so they no longer consider a nosedive for the Frenchman.
