Racists who abuse soccer players online will be banned from leaving the country for 10 years

RACISTS abusing soccer players online will result in a sentence of up to 10 years.
Home Secretary Priti Patel will introduce the law once the stars are targeted at Euro 2020.
Laws that could exclude fans for violence, disorder, or racist and homophobic chants at games will be extended to cover up hatred on the internet.
England stars Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were abused after they missed a penalty in the Euro final at Wembley.
Ms. Patel announced she would discuss amending the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill in early 2022.
“Those responsible for the appalling racist abuse online must be punished,” she said.
“The changes to the rules that I am announcing will ensure that they are banned from matches.”
Football bans can be imposed from three to ten years, while violations can lead to six months in prison.
Culture Minister Nadine Dorries said it was also making sure “tech companies address hate on their websites”.
