Queen Elizabeth News – The Queen, 95, looks as happy and healthy as she has been for the first time since health concerns grew

For the first time, the Queen appeared on screen to do face-to-face engagement in a month

Dressed in a floral green, orange and white dress and wearing a necklace of pearls, the Queen, head of the Armed Forces, smiled and shook hands with General Sir Nick as they began chatting at Windsor Castle today.

He told the Queen he had been in position for eight years, and the Queen commented that leaving was “quite sad”, adding: “It’s been a long time.”

Gen Sir Nick discussed the Duke of Edinburgh’s late uncle, saying: “It’s been a long time. In fact, the only person who did it longer that I was told was Lord Mountbatten… so I was quite surprised. for all of that.”

The Queen giggled and replied, “Oh yeah?”

She added: “I suppose if you get in that job, you know, it’s going to be easier to move on, is it really?”

Gen Sir Nick said: “I think that’s right. Although I have to say I think it’s time for it to be ready to move on.”

After chatting together standing up, the couple continued to sit in nearby chairs to continue their conversation.

This is the first time in nearly a month the Queen has been spotted performing an in-person engagement session since she hosted the reception for the global investment summit in Windsor on October 19.
