Putin ‘prepares SECOND Yars nuclear missile for combat’ amid chilling calls for ‘direct strike on London’

RUSSIA has readied one of its devastating nuclear weapons for battle for the second time in two days when a top Putin ally issues a chilling threat against Britain.
New footage shows a giant Yars strategic missile being placed in an underground shaft at a military compound in Russia.

A day earlier, another nuclear-capable Yars missile was loaded into a silo at the same site.
The Yars ICBM, one of Russia’s deadliest weapons, has a range of 7,500 miles, making it more than capable of reaching the UK and US.
It follows threats from a pro-Putin MP and military expert to launch a direct strike against London.
Retired Lieutenant General Andrey Gurulev branded the British capital a “hotbed of all meanness” when he issued the sickening warning.
In the latest video released by Russia’s Defense Ministry, a giant rocket can be seen being loaded into an underground shaft at the Kozelsky compound about 160 miles southwest of Moscow.
Footage appears to show the missile being transported on a Yars launch vehicle amid a heavy military presence.
In the clip, the rocket is then lowered into the launch silo and tilted 90 degrees.
Vladimir Putin was filmed in late October overseeing the launch of a similar Yars nuclear missile as part of a mock attack on the UK and US.
The war games are part of an upsurge in nuclear showboating as Russia prepares to mark its annual Strategic Missile Forces Day on December 17.
As tensions mount, Putin’s lackey Lieutenant General Gurulev told viewers on Russian state television that he had been calling for a missile attack on Britain for the past four months.
“You do not have to [strike] Washington first — it’s too far away,” he said.
“London is next door…
“London is the hotbed of all meanness in Europe…”
Political scientist Vitaly Tretyakov asks the general: “So you are seriously saying that it is necessary to attack London?”
Warmonger Gurulev replies that the West is keen for Ukraine to attack the Russian capital.
“Do you seriously think it is necessary to attack Moscow?” he asks. “And [Ukraine and the West] are serious…
“Why are we embarrassed to say we should attack London…?
“I’m not saying we should destroy everyone.
“We should destroy critical facilities – control centers, military bases and airfields.
“I’m sure we should have a catalog in the General Staff and it’s constantly being updated.”
He continued, “Is it nuclear…[or not]? If it’s non-nuclear, you need to calculate how many missile carriers, ships, planes, satellite constellations… and long range [drones] is needed.
“And a strike in London, strange as it may sound, would be the first and last warning to the [real decision-makers – Washington].”
In a statement accompanying the latest test, the Russian Defense Ministry said: “In the Kozelsky missile formation (Kaluga region), another, second Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was loaded into a silo launcher (silo) in a week.
“The missile is installed in the silo with a special transport and loading unit. The most complex technological operations take several hours.”
It continued: “The Kozelsky missile formation is the first of the Strategic Missile Forces to be converted with a stationary Yars missile system.
“Upgrading the Strategic Missile Forces consists not only in equipping the force with new missile systems, but also in creating a new social infrastructure that will provide better conditions for training operational forces, conducting combat service and resting personnel.”
It went on to say: “The implementation of the measures planned for 2022 to upgrade the Strategic Missile Forces will increase the proportion of modern strategic missile systems and increase the group’s ability to carry out assigned tasks.”
The mock test, led by Putin in October, was reportedly intended to simulate the response to a Western attack on Russia.
Russian state television claimed the drills were targeting Britain and the US.

The Kozelsk missile complex in the Kaluga region of Russia is undergoing massive modernization and updating, according to state media.
The Yars is a modified version of the Topol-M missile system and was first deployed in 2009.
