Putin prepares nuclear weapons use for START as the Yars missile, capable of hitting Britain and the US, is locked and loaded in a silo near Moscow

VLADIMIR Putin has renewed his nuclear threat against the West by preparing missiles for launch.

A video shows a huge Russian Yars missile, capable of hitting Britain and the US, being loaded into a silo at a base near Moscow.

The ICBM with a range of 7,500 miles was installed in a silo launch pad using a special transport and loading unit.

Putin was seen in late October overseeing the launch of a similar Yars nuclear missile in a mock attack on the West amid high tensions in the war with Ukraine.

At the drills, Russia reportedly practiced its response to a Western nuclear attack, aiming to attack Britain and the US.

Fears have been raised that the 70-year-old tyrant could detonate a nuclear bomb as his forces face mounting casualties in the disastrous Ukraine war.

Russia is gearing up for more nuclear showboating as it marks the annual Strategic Missile Forces Day on December 17.

The division’s commander, Colonel Alexei Sokolov, made it clear that the exercise aimed to send a message to the West, with both Britain and the US within reach.

“The importance of this operation lies in the fact that the next missile will be put into combat use as planned,” he said.

“The Fatherland will get another nuclear missile weapon, which will make it possible to solve all the tasks at the strategic level.”

Combat engineer Vadim Vyazovsky told TV Zvezda, the Russian Defense Ministry’s own channel: “I am proud of Russia that my country is commissioning such products so that the motherland can sleep well.”

The Kozelsk missile is currently undergoing modernization and redesign, according to reports.

The Yars is a modification of the Topol-M missile system and was first deployed in 2009.

A video released during the exercises in October showed members of the armed forces in front of computers firing one of the missiles.

Other footage showed a Sineva ICBM being fired from a submarine in the Barents Sea and a TU-95 bomber firing cruise missiles.

The Kremlin said that all of the tasks set for the exercise were accomplished, and all of the missiles tested achieved their set targets.
