Putin launches supersonic missiles at 2,300 miles per hour in a chilling weapons test while the despot’s aide swears he is ready to destroy the West.

RUSSIA has launched supersonic anti-ship missiles traveling at 2,300 miles per hour into the Sea of Japan in a terrifying weapons test.
It comes as Vladimir Putin’s top national security adviser insisted the tyrant was ready to “destroy the West with nuclear weapons.”

Moscow’s Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that two P-270 Moskit missiles had been detonated at enemy decoy targets.
A statement posted to Telegram reads: “In the waters of the Sea of Japan, missile ships of the Pacific Fleet fired Moskit cruise missiles at a mock enemy sea target.
“The target, located at a distance of about 100 kilometers, was successfully hit by a direct hit by two Moskit cruise missiles.”
The P-270 Moskit missile, which has the NATO reporting name SS-N-22 Sunburn, is a medium-range supersonic cruise missile of Soviet origin capable of destroying a ship at a range of up to 120 km.
It can reach speeds of 2,300 miles per hour and has conventional and nuclear warhead capabilities.
Japan’s Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi said Tokyo will remain vigilant about Moscow’s military operations, adding that no damage had been reported after the missile launches.
Hayashi said: “As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues, Russian forces are also becoming more active in the Far East, including near Japan.
It comes as Putin’s top security adviser, Nikolai Patrushev, vowed the despot would crush the West if he tried to defeat and dismember Russia.
Nikolai Patrushev insisted that Moscow must be allowed to dominate Europe, claiming that “the collapse of the EU is not far off”.
The 71-year-old, believed by some to be the brains behind Putin’s ill-conceived war in Ukraine, said: “Some people in the West are already talking about revenge that would lead to a military victory over Russia.”
Ignoring Putin’s brutal invasion of Ukraine and threatening world war, Patrushev claimed: “Russia is patient and does not intimidate anyone with its military superiority.
“However, it has unique modern weapons that, in the event of a threat to its existence, can destroy any opponent, including the United States.”
Among his chilling threats was Putin’s demand to rule Europe.
The US is “currently doing what it wants in Europe, ignoring the fact that historically the leading role on the continent has been Russia,” he told the Kremlin’s Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
Patrushev added: “The Russian Empire is in the 19th century, the Soviet Union in the 20th.
“It will be the same in the 21st century.”
Putin has repeatedly issued threats against the West as his war in Ukraine rages on.
Last week, the tyrant fired a fresh warning to the UK over plans to possibly arm Ukraine with tank shells containing depleted uranium.
Depleted uranium is a by-product of the nuclear enrichment process used to make nuclear fuel or nuclear weapons. It is about 60 percent as radioactive as natural uranium.
Its heaviness lends itself to use in armor-piercing rounds, as it helps them penetrate steel easily.
Moscow is furious about the plan – with one of Putin’s officials denouncing it as “genocide” and another warning of a “nuclear collision”.
Putin promised that Russia would be “forced to react” to such moves by the UK.
Meanwhile, the dictator has deployed an Iskander missile to Belarus that can wipe out the Kiev and NATO capitals in just two minutes.
Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko is a close ally of the Russian president and marks a major escalation in tensions in the Ukraine war.
Putin insisted the move was the same “that the United States has been doing for decades.”
“We agreed that we will do the same – without violating our commitments, I stress, without violating our international non-proliferation commitments,” he said.
Russia has stationed 10 aircraft in Belarus that could carry tactical nuclear weapons, he added.

Hayashi said Japan condemned the move and urged Russia and Belarus to “stop such action, which would further escalate tensions.”
