Putin in new nuclear weapons warning as he unveils world’s largest supersonic bomber ‘The White Swan’ armed with ‘Dagger’ missiles

VLADIMIR Putin has unveiled the world’s largest supersonic bomber in a chilling warning to the West about its nuclear weapons.

The deadly Tupolev Tu-160 aircraft, known as the White Swan, made its maiden flight today armed with “Dagger” missiles.

Footage showed the modernized aircraft taking off while undergoing a series of tests.

It also showed that the plane landed successfully, proving that it was combat-ready.

The strategic bomber’s frightening feature is that it can carry KH-47M2 Kinzhal missiles as part of its upgrade.

Known as “Dagger” or “Killjoy”, the nuclear-capable hypersonic missiles have devastating capabilities.

They have a range of more than 1,200 miles, meaning if Putin wanted to hit targets outside of Ukraine, he could do it.

The Kinzhal missile can be loaded with up to 1,000 pounds of explosives or even a nuclear warhead.

But their speed – through kinetic energy – is enough to blast deadly holes in even the most heavily reinforced warships.

The daggers have been used against Ukraine since March.

A statement from Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation said: “Another upgraded Tu-160M strategic missile bomber developed by the Tupolev Company made its debut flight.”

The pilots performed maneuvers to check the stability, operability and control of the aircraft in the air.

The Tu-160M is the largest supersonic aircraft in the history of military aviation and the heaviest combat aircraft in the world capable of carrying nuclear-tipped cruise missiles.

The White Swan has been the workhorse of Russia’s strategic missile forces since Soviet times, but is now touted as new and improved.

These claims follow Gazeta’s interview with aviation expert Yury Gavrilov, who analyzed the fighter jet.

He said: “Most of the changes concern the avionics of the bomber.

“As part of the aircraft modernization project, engineers have developed a free inertial navigation system, an electronic warfare complex, fuel systems, as well as weapons control systems.”

Two of the modernized aircraft should be completed this year.

Like other Russian hypersonic missile systems, the warlord claims the West has no way of stopping them.

In recent weeks, the Russian despot has made desperate attempts to boast of his firepower as his election campaign in Ukraine drags on.

Footage was released last Thursday showing its Yars strategic firepower, with missiles stationed in underground launch silos to be prepared for mobile deployment.

Russia also unveiled chilling new footage of the new Avangard hypersonic missile being readied for combat.

Mad Vlad has also previously described Avangard’s impacts as “like a meteorite” and “invincible” – unstoppable by any defense system.

He said: “The Avangard is invulnerable to intercept the potential adversary by all existing and future missile defense means.”
