ANTHONY JOSHUA has been urged by Tony Bellew to adopt a “seek and destroy mentality” in his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua was passed by the Ukrainian great by 12 laps last September.
But ahead of the expected August 20 rematch in Saudi Arabia, AJ has changed his coaching staff.
Joshua, 32, has left longtime cornerman Rob McCracken and promoted No. 2 Angel Fernandez after moving to Loughborough.
He’s also flown in respected US mastermind Robert Garcia, who Bellew, who was beaten by Usyk in 2018, hopes can help claw back some of AJ’s ruthlessness.
He told DAZN: “For me, the biggest factor in this fight is what AJ is doing up here [points to head].
“It has to be a seek-and-destroy mentality, nothing else. Don’t box a boxer. Drag him into a fight.
“Work on your strengths and weaknesses and use them to your advantage.
“I’m telling you, this guy is the best athlete the heavyweight division has ever seen. He’s the fastest, he’s the strongest.
“You put this guy in a sprint race, and he’ll smoke every heavyweight on the planet in a 100-meter sprint.

“You have a certain type of skill that got you a heavyweight title.
“Don’t be afraid of them now. Go in there and use them as best you can.
“If you come up short, so be it, but come up short because you know you did everything you could to win this fight.”
