PSG star Mauro Icardi is wanted by Serie A newcomers Monza, who have ‘already met his wife and agent Wanda’.

SERIE A new signing Monza have reportedly been in transfer talks with Paris Saint-Germain’s Mauro Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara.

The Argentine has fallen out of favor at the Parc des Princes and is being linked with a move back to Italy.

Icardi spent nine years of his career in Italy, playing for Sampdoria and Inter Milan respectively.

He scored 121 Serie A goals in 219 games before sealing a loan move to PSG in 2019 which turned into a £45million permanent transfer a year later.

And according to RMC Sport in France, Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda has held two rounds of talks with Serie A newcomers Monza about a return to the Italian top flight.

Monza are hoping for a great summer with the club backed by former AC Milan bosses Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani.

Although a move to Monza could be risky, the club is based in the Lombardy region, where the Icardi family still have a home and business interests.

Although Icardi is under contract with PSG until the summer of 2024, he has been urged to look for a new target.

The 29-year-old is one of 11 players put up for sale by PSG.

The Parisians are ready to part ways with talent worth almost £240m.

Ex-Liverpooler Georginio Wijnaldum – who only joined last summer – tops the list.

The target of Manchester United’s Leandro Paredes, Thilo Kehrer and Julian Draxler, who all cost over £30million to be brought to the French capital, are on the ax list.

Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye and Layvin Kurzawa have all been signed for more than £20m.

In all, the star-studded list, which also includes ex-United ace Andre Herrera, Danilo Pereira and Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe, cost PSG £240million.
