PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are reportedly set to sell Neymar by Friday or extend his £600,000-a-week contract until 2027.
The Brazilian signed a new deal in May last year, although PSG bosses are now unsure if they want to continue with the former Barcelona star.
Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently claimed that the French champions would move away from a big-money signing model and instead aim to build their team around young French talent.
This has put Neymar’s future in question as the 30-year-old and his representatives were reportedly upset with Al-Khelaifi’s non-binding response when asked about his side’s number 10.
The world’s most expensive player is under contract until 2026, despite claims a clause in the deal will trigger an extra year on July 1.
That would mean PSG commit to paying him another year of his £31.2m salary until he is 35.
According to Sky Sports, PSG are looking for a buyer to take Neymar off their hands.
However, his £600,000-a-week wage puts off potential suitors.
A previous report from L’Equipe claimed Newcastle are keen to make an ambitious move for the Selecao superstar.
Although they add that Neymar is absolutely against joining the toon.

Spanish outlet Sport add that Juventus are also in the running with boss Massimiliano Allegri keen.
While the player himself is said to be interested in a Barcelona return, the struggling Catalan giants have other goals, including Robert Lewandowski.
Speaking to Le Parisien earlier this week, Al-Khelaifi said: “I expected all the players to do better than they did last season. Much more!
“The message is clear: work 200 percent every day. Give everything for this jersey, give everything, and then we’ll see what comes of it.
“We have to humble ourselves again. We have to adapt to avoid injuries, suspensions and fouls that can change games.
“We will stop saying that we want to win this, this and that. We build.
“We have to discipline ourselves, on and off the field. […] If you want to stay in your comfort zone, stay out of it.”
Asked specifically about Neymar by Marca, he said: “Some will come and some will go, but these are private negotiations.”
People around the 30-year-old were affected by the comments as Neymar currently has no intention of leaving.
His former agent Wagner Ribeiro claims that Neymar is fully committed to PSG
He told Jorge Picon: “Despite rumors about his departure, Neymar is only focused on PSG and wants to win the Champions League there. He will work on that dream again.”
