Prosper ISD School Board President Drew Wilborn was arrested for “indecency to a child” with a district-issued statement
A SCHOOL CEO was arrested and charged with “indecency to a child”.
Drew Wilborn, the president of the Prosper Independent School District board of trustees, was picked up by the Dallas Police Department on Wednesday, according to school officials.
Texas school district officials confirmed the arrest but did not provide details, the WFAA reported.
The district said students at the school did not appear to be involved.
“It would be natural for our community to have questions, and we will provide as much information as we can when we are able,” the district said in a statement.
School officials said any questions should be escalated to the Dallas Police Department.
Prosper Independent School District is a public school district based in Prosper, Texas.
There were 14,287 students enrolled in the 2018-19 school year.
According to Wilborn’s LinkedIn profile, he is a “seasoned chief financial officer with over 20 years” of experience.
He has served at Antioch Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas, for over sixteen years, where he began as an Associate Pastor of Business, according to the profile.
Wilborn has been a volunteer school board trustee for a year and nine months.
On January 16, a Twitter account tweeted under his name: “There’s no place like @ProsperISD.
“I am honored and humbled to serve.
“I appreciate being able to learn from professionals, collaborate with other ISDs and dream with my team.
“Our students win!”
