Pro Kabaddi 2022: “Rakesh HS is the best all-rounder after Naveen Kumar”

Giants of Gujarat Coach Manpreet Singh has heaped praise on his team’s rising star Rakesh HS following his amazing Super 10 before Telugu Titans earlier tonight in Pro Kabaddi 2022.

Rakesh scored 16 raid points against the Titans, helping the Giants to a six-game winless streak in the competition. He accumulated 14 touch points and two bonus points over the course of the game.

After the match, Manpreet Singh praised his all-round skill and placed him right next to Dabang Delhi KC driver Naveen Kumar when speaking to the media.

“I think Rakesh HS is extremely talented,” he said. “He can score 16-20 raiding points in every match. In Pro Kabaddi, I think he is the best all-rounder after Naveen Kumar. He has all the skills like bonuses, finger touch. feet, kicks, touches, jumps and dubki. Hopefully he will continue like that in the upcoming matches.”

The Gujarat Giants kicked off their 8th PKL season with a win over first-place champions Jaipur Pink Panthers. However, they failed to score a single win in the next six matches. Rakesh’s 16 raiding points sent the Ahmedabad-based franchise back to victory with a 40-22 victory over the Telugu Titans.

Rakesh HS was the best driver of the Gujarat Giants in Pro Kabaddi 2022. He is currently sixth on the raiders leaderboard with 63 raiding points to his name from eight matches. The rising star has scored two Super 10s this season.

Fans of the Gujarat Giants will expect him to continue to produce the same form in his team’s upcoming matches.

The two-time finalist championship teams will rest for two days and then lock horns with Season 6 winner Bengaluru Bulls on Friday.
