It was a historic moment when King Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales gave birth to their first child, Prince William.
Born on June 21, 1982 with blonde hair, blue eyes and rosy cheeks, Windsor resembled his mother in many ways.
By the time he hit his late teens and early 20s, he really could turn heads — and it wasn’t just because of his royal status.
Prince William had a full head of blond hair as a child and teenager, but by his twenties it became apparent that the heir was balding.
One of the first signs of thinning hair was spotted during a football match at the 2006 World Cup.

How tall is Prince William?
At 1.91 m, Prince William is the tallest member of the royal family.
While William is currently the greatest king, many have predicted that his son Prince George could one day outgrow him.
Especially since the nine-year-old is already about 4 feet tall.
The record for tallest king is currently held by Edward IV.
His two parents, King Charles III. and Princess Diana, were the same height at 5 feet 10 inches.
How old are Prince William and Kate’s children?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge first became parents when they welcomed nine-year-old son Prince George in 2013.
Just a few years later, they announced the arrival of their daughter Princess Charlotte, seven.
They completed their family with the birth of Prince Louis, four, in 2018.
In August 2022, Kensington Palace announced that the three children would attend Lambrook School in Winkfield Row, Berkshire.
The children’s enrollment marked the first time all three young royals had attended the same school.
The boarding school is located just outside Windsor, close to the family home of Adelaide Cottage.
