Prince Harry and Andrew are being stripped of their key roles as King Charles ‘plans a major reshuffle of the royal family’

PRINCE Harry and the Duke of York are stripped of their key roles while King Charles plans a major reorganization.
The king is considering changing the law so that councilors are only working members of the royal family, the Telegraph reports.

Currently, under the Regency Act 1937, a monarch’s spouse and the four adults next in line to the throne can be appointed to official affairs as advisers to the state.
That now includes Prince Harry, Prince Andrew and Princess Beatrice, who are not working members of the royal family.
The king is understood to want to change the current status so that others can step in should the sovereign be abroad or unable to work.
According to reports, the Earl of Wessex and the Princess Royal could be contenders to take on the role in the King’s absence.

The move is claimed to be part of a broader restructuring of the duties of working and non-working royals.
It is believed that King Charles wants to take the appropriate steps to change the law as soon as possible.
Changes to the legislation would have to be enacted by the Houses of Parliament.
When Queen Elizabeth reigned, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of York took on the roles.
The Sun has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.
Charles had an audience with Liz Truss before a reception for world leaders today.
His Majesty shared a laugh with the Prime Minister after shaking his hand and curtseying this afternoon.
It is Mrs Truss’ third audience with the king since he became monarch earlier this month.
WORLD LEADERS ARRIVE IN LONDON
The King and Queen Consort will also later receive heads of state and official guests from overseas at the palace in an “official state event”.
And the Prime Minister will meet Irish Taoiseach Micheal Martin, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Polish President Andrzej Duda at Downing Street.
New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern was the first to arrive at the global event on Monday, and hundreds more are expected over the weekend.
Yesterday, the king thanked rescue workers for providing a steel ring for his mother’s funeral.
He greeted officers in the Metropolitan Police Service’s Special Operations Room in London ahead of what has been described as Britain’s biggest security operation ever.
‘SINGLE WOMAN’
He and son Prince William also surprised mourners who waited in a five-mile line to see the Queen lying in state.
Crowds cheered as the monarch and his son arrived to thank people for waiting up to 26 hours to pay their respects to Her Majesty at Westminster Hall.
Tonight at 8pm the country will observe a minute’s silence to commemorate the Queen.
People were invited to celebrate the occasion privately at home, on their doorstep or street, or at community events and vigils.
It will recall her “wonderful blue eyes” shortly after the Queen Consort pays a televised tribute to the late monarch, saying “I will always remember her smile.”
Camilla will speak in pre-recorded words to the BBC about how Queen Elizabeth II was a “lonely woman” in a male-dominated world.
World leaders travel to the UK ahead of Monday’s funeral service, when two million mourners will descend on London.
Recently, new details emerged of how Charles was told in a phone call that his mother was dying before “all went quiet,” according to a royal commentator.
The new monarch and Queen Consort Camilla were at Dumfries House in Scotland when an aide ran down the corridor to find them, it is reported.
Camilla was about to tape an interview with former US President George Bush’s daughter when Charles frantically handed over the phone, according to Jack Royston, Newsweek’s chief correspondent.
He was told the Queen’s health was failing, prompting the couple to rush to Balmoral at the last minute.

Royal commentator Royston told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat: “Charles and Camilla were at Dumfries House.
“Camilla was actually about to tape an interview with Jenna Bush Hager, who said she heard footsteps in the hallway.”
