President Xi “will not go under the knife to treat a brain aneurysm and intends to use traditional medicine,” reports said

Chinese President Xi Jinping will not go under the knife to treat a suspected brain aneurysm and will instead use traditional medicine, reports say.

The 68-year-old autocrat reportedly ordered his staff to find exotic Chinese drugs while he was hospitalized.

According to a quickly ripped off post from the ANI news agency, Xi suffered the “cerebral aneurysm” in late 2021 and has been recovering ever since.

According to news outlet reports, he was allegedly taken to the hospital when doctors discovered a dilating blood vessel in his brain.

Xi is said to have long been a supporter of quackery and has cited the export of traditional Chinese medicine as an option to treat Covid.

Rumors about the president’s health have been swirling for years, surfacing when his absence from this year’s Beijing Winter Olympics remained unresolved.

In March 2019, during a visit to Italy and France, Xi was spotted with a noticeable limp and needed help to sit up.

And when he addressed the public in Shenzhen in October 2020 – at the height of the Covid pandemic – observers noted his slow speech and cough.

It comes amid speculation that Xi is facing a coup over his tough Covid lockdown measures, which have seen toddlers separated from their parents and pets beaten to death in the streets.

Rather than learning to live with the virus, the totalitarian regime’s response was to aim for zero cases by enforcing tightly closed borders, mass testing and sweeping quarantines.

China’s brutal strategy places extreme restrictions on cities with just a handful of infections, locking down entire buildings even if just one case has been recorded, as those who test positive are shipped to horror quarantine camps.

And this week the Politburo Standing Committee warned people not to question the tough policies that have locked down cities across the country.

At the same time, Premier Li Keqiang sounded the alarm about China’s “complicated and serious” employment situation in China caused by the lockdown measures.

According to Tianyancha, a business data and investigation platform, small businesses have suffered with 4.37 million closures in China while just 1.32 million new ones have registered.

But the mixed messages from China’s leaders have raised questions about whether a split is brewing at the top, as question marks hang over the sustainability of Xi’s hardline strategy.

Xi and Li were once considered rivals for the top post, reports Bloomberg.

Richard McGregor, author of The Party: The Secret World of China’s Communist Rulers, said: “It is probably an exaggeration to say that Xi and Li are personally falling apart, but their statements represent different views within the system on Covid and its A hit.

“China is reaching the point where a real debate needs to be had about whether the price being paid for more lockdowns is worth the economic damage.”

Experts have already claimed Xi could be ousted within the next 18 months by rivals fed up with the country’s regime.

Roger Garside – author of China Coup: The Great Leap to Freedom – said Xi would be ousted by internal opponents within the Chinese Communist Party in a coup in Beijing.

“HIGH COSTS”

The former diplomat believes the main threat to Xi will come from “within the top echelons” of the Communist Party.

He said China’s zero-Covid policy could be Xi’s undoing as his over-the-top strategy has “insulated” the country from the rest of the world.

Mr Garside believes the communist regime has backed China into a corner as its drastic zero-tolerance approach “could implode on them or cause a political crisis”.

He said the hard line could inflict “heavy costs” on China’s economy and society as citizens grapple with fast-spreading outbreaks and unemployment as businesses are forced to shut down.

He told The Sun Online: “It is conceivable that their Covid-19 strategy will implode on them or cause a political crisis.”

As early as 2017, a senior Chinese official claimed several senior Communist Party members were plotting to wrest power from Xi.

It led to a crackdown on corruption that saw three party members arrested, the BBC reported.

A health chief also claimed Xi could be ousted if scientists prove Covid escaped from a Wuhan lab.

Jamie Metzl told LBC last year: “If it were absolutely proven in China, I think there is a real chance that Xi Jinping could be overthrown.

“There would be reparations claims against China worldwide.

“It would be a massive geopolitical blow to this country.

“Just think of the anger of all people around the world who have lost a spouse, a child, parents.”
