Pregnant Joy-Anna Duggar breaks strict dress code and shows off her baby bump in jeans for new family video

JOY-ANNA Duggar has defied her family’s strict dress code by wearing jeans during a family shopping spree.

The Counting on alum is currently pregnant with her third child and showed it while browsing the stores.

Joy-Anna, 25, documented the outing in her vlog published Friday and showed the reality star spending time with some of her siblings.

At the beginning of the video, she explained that her sister Jinger, 29, and brother-in-law Jeremy Vuolo, 35, are visiting from California.

The ladies made the most of the short visit by going out for lunch, shopping and hanging out at a cafe.

They also met other members of the Duggar clan, including matriarch Michelle, 56, and her sister Jana, 32.

Once Joy-Anna filmed the girls shopping at a thrift store and stopped to take a picture of herself in the mirror.

The TV personality wore skinny blue jeans, a black top and a tan unzipped jacket as she cradled her baby bump.

She completed the look with brown sandals, glasses and her brunette locks tied back with a clip.

However, the ensemble did not conform to her father Jim Bob’s strict guidelines that women should dress modestly and only wear long skirts and dresses.

Still, this wasn’t the first time Joy-Anna broke the rules when it came to her clothes.

Last month, the mother-of-two again shared a mirror selfie, showing off her growing baby bump.

The TV star wore a long-sleeved green shirt and distressed blue jeans that tied at the ankle.

Joy-Anna recently explained her reason for changing her wardrobe, saying it wasn’t an easy decision she made.

“Austin and I prayed about this for a long time, and I think we had the first conversation in our first year of marriage,” she referred to her husband.

She went on to say that her journey involved “studying and reading the Bible and digging in the deep” for three to four years.

“It wasn’t something I learned very persistently because, honestly, I’ve always worn skirts my entire life, so I wasn’t in a hurry,” she added.

The TLC star then confirmed, “Well really, last year we really prayed for this and felt like there’s nothing in scripture — there is not all in writing what is black and white on the dress.

“There’s a lot of talk about modesty, but I feel like you can be modest and wear pants, and that’s how we got into it.”

Joy-Anna concluded, “I think basically we just took a long look at the scripture and felt like it was okay for our family and our location.”

The TV personality announced in October that she and Austin, 29, were expecting their third child later this year.

Last month, Joy-Anna revealed in her vlog that she was “30 weeks old,” before revealing, “I’ll probably be initiated a little bit sooner.”

Joy-Anna and Austin are also parents to a five-year-old son, Gideon, and a two-year-old daughter, Evelyn.
