Powerball winner Edwin Castro takes a steam break after winning $2 billion during an extensive shopping spree

LOTTERY winner Edwin Castro — who became an overnight billionaire after hitting the biggest jackpot in US history — took time out from his epic spending spree to enjoy a vape break.

The Powerball bigshot has been busy shopping for furniture at luxury stores for the past few weeks to fill his new $25 million home in the Hollywood Hills.

Photos obtained exclusively by The US Sun show him alternating neon green and pink vapes while releasing clouds of smoke during his time off.

Sitting in a planted area at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Castro looked like any other 30-year-old dressed casually for his shopping spree.

He walked out in baggy black sweatpants, flip flops and a black short-sleeved t-shirt with “Gas Monkey Garage,” a popular auto show, written in yellow.

Castro, who arrived in a chauffeur-driven black SUV after hiring around-the-clock security, took calls on his cell phone before greeting a mysterious brunette woman believed to be an interior design specialist.

In snaps, the pair can be seen quickly entering the furniture store, where they are shown a range of gaming tables at 11 Ravens Billiards, including a shuffleboard setup and pool equipment.

The pair spent about an hour chatting to vendors at the venue, which is often frequented by the rich and famous.

LIVING IN LUXURY

An eyewitness claimed he then jumped back into his SUV and the two drove separately to several stores, including the Baxter showroom, which sells luxury Italian furniture.

Castro grinned from ear to ear as he tried several seats and was shown various coffee tables and desks.

He also took the wife to check out sofas in nearby Martell before entering Molteni&C’s flagship store, designed by famed architect Vincent Van Duysen.

The shop boasts online, “A cross-fertilization of mid-century modern and the elegance of Italian design has reached Los Angeles.”

Castro appeared to be enjoying his afternoon selecting luxury furniture, and the woman was seen running across the street from another shop, carrying swatches of fabric for him to look at.

The lucky former Boy Scout, who lived in a modest apartment in Altadena before his big win, now owns a home alongside pop star Ariana Grande and TV host Jimmy Kimmel.

The lavish 13,578-square-foot property features three levels with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms and is a stone’s throw from celebrity hotspot Chateau Marmont.

It also features a “Batcave-style” entrance with secret parking spots for its new vehicles, a gym, a wine cellar, and an infinity pool.

Castro can also enjoy his new games room and bar, gym with hot and cold bath, dry sauna and steam shower.

NEW HOME

The hillside home also features a double height glass stairwell with breathtaking views, two fire pits and a built in outdoor BBQ area perfect for entertaining.

In addition to his Hollywood residency, he also bought a new $4 million home in his hometown of Altadena.

The luxurious, Japanese-inspired property also features five bedrooms and four bathrooms and offers 4,361 square feet of living space.

Although Castro tried to remain unnoticed by not attending the press conference announcing his win, California state law requires lottery winners to provide their full names.

Castro declined to comment when The US Sun approached him.

Prior to his recent shopping spree, he was seen driving a $250,000 vintage white Porsche and exiting a Chase bank with a wad of cash in a white envelope.

Although he declined to comment on the big win, a Castro representative previously released a statement on his behalf.

It said, “As shocked and thrilled as I am to have won the Powerball drawing, the real winner is the California public school system,” which benefited from the $156.3 million win.

Joe Chahayed, the owner of Joe’s Service Center, spoke exclusively to The US Sun after also making a million pre-tax dollars from the sale of the ticket.

Ex-NFL star Domata Peko’s father-in-law believes Castro is a single man who worked in the home improvement business before hitting the jackpot and says he hasn’t been in touch since.

He gave Castro some advice, telling The US Sun: “Now that he’s been identified in public, they see him.” [new] A house. I tell him… be smart, watch your money, no matter how much money you have, don’t go with the bad people.”
